Lighting Design
Good lighting can intensify a story. The right spotlight combined with a bit of color from the side can set the stage for a perfect ballad or battle. Lighting can be a crucial storytelling element, further immersing the audience in the show.
When working on Carrie the lights brought blood, fire, police lights, and supernatural forces to life on stage. At the big party there was a slight pink tint in the lights to hint towards a second setting without changing the set. The same thing went for the warm light at the park or the grayish tone at the house. Without moving a piece of furniture, the character and audience is transported to another location.

In A Gentleman Guide To Love and Murder. The lights allowed us to section out pieces of the stage, focusing the viewer’s eyes where we wanted. We also used a flash of red light to highlight each of the murders, which brought attention to the significance of those moments as the plot progressed.
